There are three very distinct ways to see New York: from the street level with all the buildings rising up around you; from above where you can see how far it stretches in all directions; and from outside looking in at the skyline. No matter how many times I see the skyline, whether it be from the harbor, driving along the BQE, or from the shoreline in New Jersey, I never lose that feeling of awe. So even though Jessica and Kevin’s wedding was at the Hyatt Regency – Jersey City, with that skyline as the backdrop it was still a very much a New York City wedding.
Jessica works in fashion and her taste is refined, elegant and perfectly understated. She loves champagne and peonies; she knows how to balance a neutral color palate of black and white with little pops of green and pink; and she looks impeccable in that Vera Wang dress, even out on the dance floor. Their cocktail hour was outside overlooking the water and that famous skyline and the room where their reception was held had huge windows looking out toward the city. They even went out after dark to get a few portraits with the skyline in the background. It was a beautiful way to end the night.
