Photographing Bar Mitzvahs is a natural extension of our work. So many of the same factors are in play, a ceremony, a party, an all too rare gathering of far-flung family and friends.

I take the same approach at Bar Mitzvahs that I do with weddings. I aim to be unobtrusive and use the same reportage shooting style to capture the celebration as it unfolds.
