Sara & Dan’s Wedding at the Pearl River Hilton

It seems the Pearl River Hilton knows how to throw a party-Sara and Dan’s being the second one this year that had some pretty epic energy! Dan and his gents chose to prep at the Pearl River before heading over to the church, while Sara chose her childhood home to prep with her ladies and family. Guests were arriving at the gorgeous St. John the Baptist church in Hillsdale, waiting for a glimpse of Sara coming down the aisle in her La Sposa dress. Dan’s facial expression was so sweet when he greeted her, being walked by her dad. After the ceremony and the two were officially wed, everyone headed back to Pearl River for an all night dance party kept alive by a) every guest’s energy (everyone was on the dance floor the whole night!) and b) Craig Scott Entertainment‘s genius way of involving the guests (think bongos for them to play). Sara and Dan were surrounded by everyone they loved and enjoyed their evening immensely. We took some amazing photos of their big day! Flowers by Flower Elegance & planning extraordinaire Lulu Event Design kept the day running smoothly.

Todd & Joe’s Wedding on the Hornblower Yacht

Todd and Joe celebrated their wedding in the best way ever: surrounded by their best friends and family on a yacht circling Manhattan. On board the Hornblower Hybrid, guests were welcomed with champagne before sitting down topside for a sunset ceremony. Todd and Joe arrived shortly before the ceremony after taking some amazing wedding portraits around the meatpacking district and the High Line. Once they were officially married and the license signed it was time to party! The table was lovely, laid out with a custom charm or jewelry hand made by Todd himself! After sweet speeches, delicious food and cake cutting everyone hit the dance floor for the rest of the night celebrating Todd and Joe!

Tiffany & Jed’s Wedding at the National Arts Club

Art gallery plus an intimate, sweet wedding equals a photographer’s dream. We were so excited to capture Tiff & Jed’s wedding day last October! They started out at the ever classic Gramercy Park Hotel to prep and headed to the park for their first look. Jed’s expression when he saw his bride for the first time was priceless and the two have such a great energy. Their families joined for some pre-ceremony portraits in the park before heading across the street to the National Arts club for the rest of the evening surrounded by their closest friends and rest of the family. After the traditional ketubah signing (with a very unique ketubah!) it was time to walk down the aisle of the main art gallery. After their ceremony, Tiff and Jed were able to enjoy their cocktail hour complete with drinks and food catered by the club. Once the gallery was flipped for dinner, guests headed back inside for a night full of dinner, toasts and much dancing! Music by 74 Events, flowers by Blush Designs, gown by Alvina Valenta and hair by Khris Wilson!

Jennifer and John’s Wedding at the University Club

Jennifer and John had such a fun wedding this past September. Jennifer chose the St. Regis to prep with her ladies, donning her Carolina Herrera dress, family heirloom jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes to create an altogether stunning and sophisticated look. John and the gents prepped at the University Club before heading over to the gorgeous Church of  St. Monica for the ceremony. John was elated to see her for the first time walking down the aisle as they headed into a service officiated by Reverend Peter M. Colapietro. After their official marriage, Jennifer and John got into their vintage taxi and headed to Central Park with their bridal party and family for some wonderful photos. The party was just underway back at the University Club by the time they were done and the night was full of dinner, toasts and of course lots of dancing! The two newlyweds wrapped up their night with a snack on the street and some night time portraits. Flowers by Arcadia Floral Company, Star Talent kept the party going, makeup by Anita Nouryeh and hair by Ryan Cunningham.

Best of Engagements 2014

It’s that time of year again when we get to go through the entire year of photos to reflect and relive those moments! Right now we’re concentrating on engagement photography sessions. We love having those two hours with our couples before the big day: it’s a great way to practice and get to know each other! That way, when the wedding day is here we are already friends and comfortable. The photos turn out so amazing because of it! Not to mention you have a great set of the two of you in the place you love.

Here are a handful of our favorites from engagement sessions starting in January all the way to the end of the year! Please enjoy,

Julie & Lee’s New York Times feature

We were so pleased to learn that our couple yesterday, Julie and Lee, were featured in the New York Times with a full article! These two had such a good positive energy, we really enjoyed ourselves and shot some great wedding photos. Check back soon for the wedding photo post, but for now read how running helped bring these two together. Not to mention, Lee’s proposal couldn’t have been better!

Michelle and Mike’s Wedding at Pearl River Hilton

Michelle and Mike had a wonderful wedding day at the Hilton Pearl River, which was nearby Michelle’s childhood home. She chose to get ready at the hotel with her ladies, while Mike got ready with his gents. She has a love for frogs, so we saw those details (including kermit!) imbedded into her day! After the lovely ceremony at the Church of Presentation, the newlyweds went to her parents’ home to take some portraits before joining the bridal party back at Pearl River for photos, cocktail hour and an epic reception. These people know how to dance! Music and entertainment by Artificial Flavor, flowers by Allendale Flowers, makeup by Mirror Mirror and hair by Sydney Madison Salon.
