Jacqueline & Stu

Jacqueline & Stu

Jacqueline and Stu are one of the most unique couples we’ve worked with.  Just look at that gorgeous dress of hers with the skirt covered in feathers!  They met before the ceremony and took pictures at the Conservatory Garden, one of the most beautiful nooks that you’ll find in Central Park.  A little cloud cover made for a perfect day for photography.  At the reception, Jacqueline and the women in her family took to the dance floor and belly danced the night away.  Even her grandmother was showing off her dancing skills.  What a great couple!

Jessica and Kevin’s Jersey City Wedding

Jessica and Kevin’s Jersey City Wedding

Jessica works in fashion and her taste is refined, elegant and perfectly understated.  She loves champagne and peonies; she knows how to balance a neutral color palate of black and white with little pops of green and pink; and she looks impeccable in that Vera Wang dress,

Nina & John’s Intimate New York Wedding

Nina & John’s Intimate New York Wedding

Nina and John had a lovely small wedding at a restaurant in New York, complete with a surprise ceremony for their guests who knew they would be celebrating Nina and John’s marriage but didn’t know that it would actually be happening before their eyes.  Before the party, they went around the South Street Seaport for some couples portraits, in spite of there being a bit of a chill in the air.

GLAAD Award – Outstanding Digital Journalism – Multimedia

You might remember a few months ago we mentioned that Aisha and Danielle’s wedding feature on ESSENCE.com was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Digital Journalism – Multimedia.  Well the feature won and Aisha and Danielle were even able to help accept the award at the awards ceremony in New York.  It’s one thing to have been nominated, but to have won is so exciting!  Thanks to Bobbi Misick at ESSENCE and congratulations to all involved.

Ann-Marie and Stephen’s Manhattan Wedding

Ann-Marie and Stephen’s Manhattan Wedding

This beautiful wedding started with a ceremony at Church of St. Monica in Manhattan, followed by pictures in Central Park, Grand Central and Times Square and a reception at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.  It was a lovely sunny day and we ended up in Times Square with Ann Marie and Stephen just at dusk when the sky was still blue and the lights were at their brightest.  I love going to Times Square with a couple.  It can be overwhelmingly crowded, bright and loud but that’s the magic of Times Square.  The lights create such a gorgeous dramatic backdrop, especially for a couple in wedding clothes.  And you really can’t get more New York than this.

Christine and Adam’s Manhattan Wedding

Christine and Adam’s Manhattan Wedding

Christine and Adam planned their wedding in two months.  That’s right: they didn’t even book Craig until a week before the event.  But you would never know by looking at it that they hadn’t spent months and months thinking about every little detail.  They were married at the Glasshouses which is a really cool loft-style location on the West side of Manhattan.  They kept things simple but elegant.  But really, do you need a lot of decoration when you have a view like that?
